The Mission:
The Mission:
To building a new kind of “third place” - made by makers, for makers.
It’s no secret that Lexington, Kentucky is full of insanely talented creatives, both professional and hobbyist. In an effort to bring all this talent together, this communal workspace has three simple goals:
Creativity
There is an artist inside each of us. And whether that artist is a master of their medium, or a playful hobbyist just passing the time, a physical workspace like this will be a welcoming retreat for swapping ideas and gaining inspiration.
Sustainability
As a community-oriented workspace, this location must have the flexibility to make a positive impact on environmental health, while granting access to financially savvy materials, such as use of donated/recycled materials.
Community
Community is at the heart of every handicraft: knitting, crochet, quilting, beading, and so many other skill sets thrive when artists can come together to pool their experiences and collaborate on new and exciting projects.
